300+ stunningly illustrated pages of epic fantasy and adventure by Pat McNamara, writer of the trailblazing ‘The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo’ digital comic, and acclaimed pin-up artist and illustrator, Michal Dutkiewicz (Wolverine, Batman, Lost in Space).
The Storm of war has engulfed the Realms. Five years suffering the hellish Rifts and their brutal spawn, the Rifters, has brought a long peace to the edge of ruin.
Thrust into the heart of the turmoil is Zayd Mon Awes, Paladin of the Dragonscarpe. With a doomed love already weighing heavily upon him, Zayd is set the near-impossible task of training four beautiful Elementalists who could hold the key to winning the war – if they don't kill each other first.
But when betrayal sees Rifters let loose on the once-unconquerable Dragonscarpe, the vengeful Outcast Velcca, architect of the turmoil, reveals the truth of the Rifts, and Zayd takes the first step to discovering that the only hope for survival lies in a distant past deliberately forgotten – beyond the barrier to the terrifying Nameless Realm...

I usually write a personal email to the author of a book that I particularly enjoyed, and privately tell them of any typos, etc.that they may wish to correct, or at least examine. I feel a private email is better than pointing out errors "publically." This book did not allow me to do that, however. I found a grammatical error in the first chapter, where the term "you're" was used, when the possessive "your" was meant. I sent in the identification of the error via the only method that was given, but I seriously doubt that the error will be corrected. I get the impression that the author has very little control of the book once turned over to the publisher in this case.Other than that disappointment, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The writing was well-done, the characters well developed, and the plot designed extremely well. I look forward to reading more in the series. I think that anyone interested in an "another world" fantasy will enjoy this read.

Angelwitch Book One Dragonscarpe eBook Pat McNamara G Albert Turner Michal Dutkiewicz Reviews
It kept me on the edge of my seat, in fact still keen to see where some of the clues lead. In parts the lack of predictability was impressive. The only down for me was the scantily clad descriptions of the 'heroines', for me, not needed but I did love the depth that was taken into describing their depth of character and temperaments Overall, if you are into sci-fantasy, then this is well worth the read. Can't wait to read book 2.
A classic epic hero's journey filled with imaginative mythology and wonderful surprises, twists and reversals.
And - the illustrations are incredible. Just out mind-blowingly of this world.
If you love Tolkein/LOTR, you will probably love this too!
I tried, I really did, but I really just did not find this one engaging at all. The story was choppy and not developed enough for me to care about the characters or what was going on. After 80 pages I gave up. Sorry.
Sorry, but I gave up about 13% the way through. It was just too disjointed. Just as I was starting to figure out a story line, it got chopped off. Did it continue further on? I couldn't care, because after a few of these brakes, I lost continuity. Short attention span, I guess, and that's too bad for the author, because if it is a good story, I was unable to last long enough to find it.
